Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
For Fully Reciprocal Theatre Company's Production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, I decided to elevate the stage into a boxing ring and clutter the stage with books and objects. The argumentative nature of the show is reflected in the arena design, as though the audience is watching a sporting event, with the corners of the stage alluding to the ring itself. The clutter exacerbates the overwhelming feeling of being trapped in this dysfunctional world, heightening the audience's experience of the play and allowing them to better understand how the characters must feel.
