Visiting Cezanne
When designing the set for Visiting Cezanne, a new play by Duane Kelly, I had to cohesively bridge the gap between Cezanne's Studio and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. To achieve this, I painted and installed 18 "works in progress" paintings, which alluded to Cezanne's inability to finish work towards the end of his career and served as paintings in the museum. Additionally, I designed and built custom framed paintings that the actors could exist inside, giving the paintings the ability to come to life.
